Installing on macOS

Laryen for macOS is distributed as a .dmg disk image.

  1. Download the .dmg and double-click to open it.
  2. Drag Laryen into the Applications folder.
  3. On first launch, right-click (or Control-click) the app icon and choose Open, then Open again — this one-time step is needed for unsigned builds.

Apple Silicon (M1 or later) is required. If the build is not yet notarized, the right-click → Open step lets macOS run it.

Windows: download the ZIP, extract it, and run laryen.exe. The build is unsigned, so if SmartScreen appears, click "More info → Run anyway". Tip: right-click the ZIP → Properties → Unblock before extracting.

Update news and new build reveals are posted here first. We do not currently run a separate email subscription form; notification channels via RSS or social media will be announced here soon.
