- The licensor and service provider of the Game is Laryen Project. Valve Corporation ("Valve") is not the developer or service provider of the Game; Valve acts solely as the distribution platform and payment processor through Steam.
- This Agreement applies to the Game client distributed through Steam, the game servers, accounts, community features, paid content, and all related functionality (collectively, the "Service").
- Our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply together with this Agreement and are incorporated herein by reference. In the event of a conflict, this Agreement prevails with respect to your use of the Steam version of the Game.
- This Agreement does not replace or supersede Valve's Steam Subscriber Agreement ("SSA"). In the event of any conflict between this Agreement and the SSA or the Steam Refund Policy, the SSA and applicable Steam policies prevail as to that subject matter.
- Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits any mandatory consumer rights granted to you under the laws of your country of residence.
End User License Agreement (Steam)
This Agreement applies to the Steam (Windows) version of Laryen. If you play on iOS, Android, or the macOS build downloaded from this website, the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply instead.
This End User License Agreement (this "Agreement") is a binding agreement between Laryen Project (represented by JaeHo Song, "we," "us," or "the Provider") and you, the individual who installs or uses Laryen (the "Game") through Steam ("you"). By installing, launching, or using the Game, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Game, and remove it from your Steam Library.
- The Game is online-only. A persistent internet connection and a separate Laryen account are required; there is no offline mode.
- The Game is free to install, but free play is limited to 90 minutes per day per account after an initial 600-minute trial. See Section 5.
- The Steam version has no auto-renewing subscription. Paid access is sold as a one-time pass for a stated period, or as permanent content. See Section 6.
- The optional voice assistant downloads approximately 240 MB of speech models on first use, and sends recognized text to a third-party AI provider. See Section 11.
Section 1 (Parties and Scope)
Section 2 (Definitions)
- Account means the credentials and profile used to access the Service. A Laryen account is required in addition to your Steam account.
- Game Data means characters, levels, inventory, progression, rankings, social relationships, and other records generated through play.
- Paid Content means time-limited passes, virtual items, consumables, downloadable content (DLC), and other digital content acquired for consideration through Steam.
- Virtual Items means in-game currency, equipment, potions, and other digital records usable only within the Service.
- User Content means posts, comments, chat messages, character names, profile text, and other materials you submit.
Section 3 (License Grant and Restrictions)
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use the Game client for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.
The Game is licensed, not sold. No ownership of the Game software, Game Data, or the Service is transferred to you. All rights not expressly granted in this Agreement are reserved by us and our licensors.
You shall not do any of the following, except to the extent such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Game, in whole or in part;
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Game, or create or distribute modified clients;
- Rent, lease, sell, redistribute, sublicense, assign, or pledge the Game or your rights under this Agreement;
- Use the Game for commercial purposes, except for the video and streaming activity permitted under Section 14;
- Remove or alter any copyright notice, trademark, watermark, or other proprietary notice;
- Circumvent the Steam client, or cause the Game to be distributed or executed outside of Steam.
Section 4 (Account Registration and Online Requirements)
- The Game is online-only and does not offer an offline play mode. A persistent internet connection is required; play is interrupted if the connection is lost.
- A separate Laryen account is required in addition to your Steam account. Accounts are created using an email address or a supported sign-in method, and authentication is handled through Google Firebase Authentication.
- You must provide accurate information, keep it current, and must not register in another person's name without authorization.
- If you are under 14 years of age, or below the digital consent age established in your country of residence, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and devices, and must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
- Accounts are personal to you and may not be sold, purchased, rented, transferred, shared for consideration, or pledged as security.
- You may request account closure and data deletion at any time under our Account Deletion Policy. Removing the Game from your Steam Library does not delete your Laryen account or Game Data, and deleting your Laryen account does not delete your Steam account.
Section 5 (Free Play and Daily Play-Time Limit)
The Game is free to install and play, but free play is subject to the play-time limits below. These are material terms of use; please review them carefully.
- New-account trial time: for a defined amount of cumulative play after account creation (currently 600 minutes), you may play without any daily limit.
- Daily free play time: once the trial time is used up, free play is limited to 90 minutes per day per account. The limit applies at the account level, regardless of how many characters you have.
- Reset: daily usage resets each day at 00:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Server time is authoritative.
- Minimum charge per session: each entry into the game world consumes at least one minute of your daily allowance, even if you leave sooner. This prevents repeated reconnecting from being used to avoid the limit.
- What is restricted when time runs out: only entry into the game world is blocked. Signing in, viewing and managing your characters, and making purchases continue to work normally, and you are returned to the character screen if your time runs out mid-session.
- The limit does not apply while you hold valid paid access under Section 6.
- These values may change based on game balance and operational needs. Changes materially adverse to users are announced in advance in accordance with Section 18. The values in effect at any given time are shown in the Game's information screens.
Section 6 (Paid Content and Payments)
6.1 Purchases through Steam
- All Paid Content for the Steam version is purchasable only through Steam. Payments are processed via the Steam Wallet or other payment methods offered by Valve. We do not collect or store your payment instrument information.
- We do not sell Paid Content through, or direct you to, any payment method outside of Steam.
- Prices, currency, taxes, and payment terms are displayed by Steam before purchase confirmation, and those displayed terms form part of the transaction.
6.2 No auto-renewing subscription
- Unlimited-play access in the Steam version is provided either as a one-time purchase valid for a stated period or as permanent content (DLC).
- The Steam version does not include an auto-renewing subscription. A time-limited pass simply expires at the end of its stated period; no cancellation is required and no further charge occurs. To continue, you purchase again.
- Auto-renewing subscriptions purchased on mobile stores (App Store or Google Play) are managed and cancelled through those stores. They are not cancelled by using or uninstalling the Steam version.
- Paid access is recorded against your Laryen account, so it applies on every platform where you sign in with that account.
6.3 Refunds
- Refunds for Paid Content purchased through Steam are governed by the Steam Refund Policy. Please submit refund requests through Steam Support.
- Nothing in this Agreement limits your rights under the Steam Refund Policy or any statutory right of withdrawal or refund available to you under applicable law.
- If a grant fails, a duplicate charge occurs, or purchased entitlements are not reflected in the Game, contact us at the address in Section 21 with your Steam order number. We will verify and correct the grant to the extent reasonably possible.
Section 7 (Virtual Items and Game Data)
- Virtual Items and Game Data are not property; they are a limited right of use within the Service. Except where expressly required by applicable law, they are not legal tender, deposits, securities, custodial assets, or redeemable for cash.
- Rights to Virtual Items are tied to the Account and may not be transferred, exchanged, or sold outside the features expressly provided in the Game, such as in-game player-to-player trading.
- Virtual Items in the Game are not Steam Inventory items, and are not eligible for the Steam Community Market or Steam Trading.
- We may adjust the balance, naming, values, availability, or acquisition methods of Virtual Items to maintain the integrity and continued development of the Game. Where a change is materially adverse to Paid Content you have already purchased, we will give advance notice and take the measures required by applicable law.
- Items obtained through error, fraud, unauthorized payment, chargeback, or any prohibited conduct under Section 8 may be withheld, corrected, or revoked following reasonable verification.
- Upon account deletion, remaining Virtual Items and Game Data are handled under our Account Deletion Policy and applicable law, and are not subject to compensation.
Section 8 (Prohibited Conduct)
You shall not engage in, attempt, solicit, or assist any of the following:
- Violating applicable law, this Agreement, the Steam Subscriber Agreement, or the rights of others;
- Creating, distributing, or using bots, macros, unauthorized automation, cheats, hacks, memory editors, packet manipulation tools, or modified clients that create an unfair advantage. This does not restrict the automation features the Game itself provides, which are described in Section 9;
- Exploiting bugs, duplicating items or currency, manipulating combat, rankings, rewards, payments, or refunds, or failing to report a material vulnerability that you have exploited;
- Imposing an excessive load on the game or authentication servers, or circumventing or defeating security and access controls;
- Circumventing or attempting to circumvent the play-time limit in Section 5, including by clock manipulation or by creating multiple accounts for that purpose;
- Trading accounts, Game Data, Virtual Items, or the Service for cash or other external consideration without our written approval;
- Harassing, threatening, stalking, deceiving, or impersonating others, disclosing another person's personal information, or disrupting normal play;
- Using the Service for commercial solicitation, unauthorized advertising, spam, or the transmission of malicious code.
Section 9 (Automation Features Provided by the Game)
Laryen deliberately includes automation as a designed feature, and using it is permitted. It is not the "unauthorized automation" prohibited by Section 8. The distinction is simple: automation we provide inside the Game is allowed; external tools that drive the Game are not.
- Auto-attack: with auto-attack enabled, your character attacks nearby targets, can seek out nearby monsters, and can drink potions automatically, without input from you. Choosing where to hunt and when to move remains your decision.
- Dispatch: you may send a character on a dispatch that continues on our servers while the Game is closed, and collect the results when you return.
- These features run under our control, on our servers or in the official client. Reproducing them with external programs, input emulators, or modified clients is prohibited under Section 8, even where the observable result looks similar.
- Time spent in the game world with auto-attack enabled counts toward the daily limit in Section 5 in the same way as manual play.
- The scope, rewards, and availability of these features may be adjusted for balance in accordance with Sections 7 and 13.
Section 10 (Player Interaction and User Content)
10.1 Notice regarding online interaction
The Game is a multiplayer online game that includes real-time interaction with other players, including public and regional chat, party play, and player-to-player item trading.
The words and conduct of other players are not pre-screened by us, and user-generated content may contain inappropriate material. We moderate the community within reasonable limits through reporting and post-hoc measures, but we do not pre-screen all interactions.
Player-versus-player combat is not currently offered; players cannot attack one another. If we introduce such a feature, we will give advance notice under Section 18 and update this Agreement.
10.2 Trading between players
- Player-to-player trading takes place through in-game functionality with confirmation steps on both sides. We are not obligated to reverse the outcome of a trade you voluntarily accepted, including an unfavorable one.
- Where fraud, account compromise, or a system error is confirmed, we will correct the outcome to the extent reasonably possible.
10.3 Rights in User Content
You retain the rights you lawfully hold in your User Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, technically adapt, and display such content solely as necessary to store, transmit, display, operate, and moderate the Service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for content shared with other users that remains, records retained by law, and limited backup copies.
We may remove or restrict content that is unlawful, infringing, discloses personal information, is obscene or excessively violent, promotes hatred or harassment, impersonates others, advertises unauthorized trading, constitutes spam, or materially disrupts the community. Reports may be submitted to the contact in Section 21.
Section 11 (AI Assistant "Laria", Voice Features, and Additional Downloads)
The Game provides an optional artificial intelligence assistant called Laria, available by voice and by text chat. Please review the following before using it.
- Additional download: the first time you use the voice feature, the Game downloads speech models of approximately 240 MB from our servers. These models are not part of the Steam installation, so this download occurs after installation and requires free disk space and network capacity. The voice feature is unavailable until the download completes.
- Speech recognition and speech synthesis run on your device. Raw audio of your voice is not transmitted to our servers. On lower-specification devices the Game may instead use the speech recognition provided by your operating system, in which case that processing is governed by your operating system vendor's terms.
- However, recognized text and the game-state information needed to answer are transmitted to a third-party AI service provider, which processes them outside your country. Depending on the situation, that provider is Google LLC (United States, Gemini) or DeepSeek (China). The items transmitted, the purposes, retention periods, and how to refuse the transfer are described in our Privacy Policy.
- The voice feature is optional and can be disabled at any time in the Game's settings. Microphone use requires permission from your operating system.
- AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. Laria's guidance is reference information intended to assist gameplay, and we do not warrant its accuracy. Do not rely on it for any purpose outside the Game.
- Do not enter personal or sensitive information about yourself or others into the AI features.
- License notices for the speech models are in Section 15.
Section 12 (Enforcement Measures and Appeals)
Where reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or fair play, we may issue warnings, remove content, reverse improper transactions, correct Game Data, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts. Measures are determined in proportion to the severity, recurrence, intent, impact, and relevant history of the violation.
Except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, evidence preservation, or harm prevention, we will notify you of the reason and duration of any material restriction. You may appeal using the contact in Section 21, and where a restriction resulted from our error, we will restore data or access to the extent reasonably possible.
Where an account is suspended or terminated for breach of this Agreement, remaining Virtual Items and unused pass time on that account are not subject to compensation unless applicable law provides otherwise. Refund claims for Paid Content are governed by the Steam Refund Policy under Section 6.3.
Section 13 (Updates, Maintenance, and Service Discontinuation)
- We may update or modify the Game and the Service for reasons of security, legal compliance, compatibility, balance, content, or operations. The Steam client may download updates automatically, and outdated clients may be unable to connect to the game servers.
- Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where reasonably practicable; emergency maintenance may begin without prior notice.
- The Service may be temporarily interrupted due to maintenance, network failures, platform failures, cyberattacks, disasters, war, governmental action, or other causes beyond our reasonable control. We will use reasonable efforts to restore the Service.
- If we discontinue the Service in whole or in material part, we will, as a general rule, give at least 30 days' advance notice through the Steam store page, in-game announcements, and our official website, and will handle unused Paid Content and other user interests in accordance with applicable law. This period may be shortened where there is an urgent legal or security reason, or an event of force majeure.
- Because the Game is online-only, it will no longer be playable after the Service is discontinued.
Section 14 (Intellectual Property)
The Game and its software, artwork, audio, characters, setting, logos, text, databases, and other content are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Act of the Republic of Korea and international treaties.
Except under the limited license in Section 3, or with our express written permission, you may not reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, publish, sell, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit the Game's content.
Video and broadcast content: we permit you to capture gameplay footage, publish it on video-sharing and streaming platforms, and monetize it to the extent permitted by those platforms' policies. This permission does not extend to leaking unreleased content, promoting cheats or hacks, or any use that impersonates the Game or falsely implies our official sponsorship.
Feedback and suggestions you provide may be used free of charge to improve the Service. We do not claim ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property of yours contained in them.
Section 15 (Third-Party and Open Source Notices)
The Game includes the third-party and open source software, models, and assets listed below, each used under the terms of its own license. Where such a license provides terms differing from this Agreement with respect to a component, that license governs for that component. Section 16 (Privacy)
We process account identifiers, Game Data, access logs, device information, and error diagnostics in order to provide the Service. The categories collected, the purposes, retention periods, third-party disclosures and international transfers, and your rights and how to exercise them are described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this Agreement.
When you access the Game through Steam, Valve separately processes personal data under its own Steam Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for Valve's processing of personal data.
Service announcements, security notices, transaction confirmations, and changes to this Agreement may be delivered through in-game announcements, our official website, the Steam store page, or the contact details associated with your Account.
Section 17 (Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability)
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game and the Service are provided "as is", and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from:
- Your own fault, incompatible or modified devices, or use of unauthorized third-party software;
- Account compromise resulting from your failure to safeguard credentials;
- Failures of third-party networks, internet connections, the Steam platform, or other external services beyond our reasonable control;
- The conduct of other users.
Features provided free of charge may be changed or discontinued without compensation unless required by law.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits our liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, for failure to deliver purchased content, for statutory warranty obligations, or for any other liability or consumer right that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of liability, so the above may not apply to you.
Section 18 (Changes to This Agreement)
We may amend this Agreement to reflect changes in law, platform policies, service features, security, or operations. We will announce the changes, the reasons, and the effective date at least 7 days in advance, and at least 30 days in advance for changes materially adverse to you, absent an urgent legal or security reason. Notices are given through in-game announcements, our official website, or the Steam store page.
If you do not agree to a change, you may discontinue use of the Game and request account deletion before the effective date. Where separate consent is required by law, we will obtain it separately, and where prohibited by law we will not treat mere silence as acceptance.
Section 19 (Termination)
- You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the Game and requesting deletion of your Account.
- We may terminate this Agreement under Section 12 if you materially breach it.
- Sections 7, 14, 15, 17, 20, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive, remain in effect after termination.
Section 20 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you reside.
In the event of a dispute, the parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve it through the contact in Section 21, and you may make use of any applicable consumer protection or dispute resolution body. If litigation is commenced, jurisdiction is determined under applicable civil procedure and consumer protection law.
This Agreement does not require you to waive any court or remedy available to you under mandatory law.

- This Agreement is written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only, and in the event of any discrepancy between the English version and a translation, the English version prevails, unless the law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
